Castration
The testes of males manufacture the hormone testosterone. Testosterone is the essential hormone for making men look, sound and think like men. When the testes are diseased , damaged or surgically removed the sudden decrease in testosterone production can severely impact on the quality of a man’s life unless testosterone is replaced.

Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia is a condition in men where there is abnormal growth of breast tissue. The growth may occur in one or both breasts and is generally stimulated by estrogens. The condition is commonly called man-boobs.
The condition affects about 15% of men worldwide. Gynecomastia is the most common physical symptom of estrogen dominance in men. Often a deficiency in the hormone testosterone results in gynecomastia.

Hypogonadism
Hypogonadism occurs when the ovaries or testes (gonads) do not produce enough gonadal hormones (progesterone, estrogen, and testosterone). Hypogonadism may be present from birth due to genetic factors or may develop in adult life. The ovaries or testes atrophy (shrink), so they cannot produce enough germ cells (ova or sperm). Hypogonadism affects the growth of the brain, bone, muscle, fat, body hair, and breasts.

Klinefelter Syndrome
Klinefelter Syndrome, also known as XXY, is a genetic disorder affecting males from birth. It is a condition that is not life-threatening, but can have major quality of life implications throughout all stages of development from early childhood to adolescence to manhood. Often men are undiagnosed until mature adults, usually due to the inability to start a family and infertility tests identifying the condition.

Low Libido
Low libido is a serious condition because it can diminish psychological health and well-being, and impacts on personal relationships. Low libido can be extremely well managed with appropriate treatment, especially when it causes personal distress.
Male hypogonadism is the medical phrase used to describe men with severe testosterone deficiency. The degree of severity of the condition can vary from individual to individual, but there is universal similarity of symptoms in testosterone deficient males - these include fatigue, lethargy, mood changes, ill temper, sexual dysfunction, poor erectile function, loss of sexual interest, diminished muscle strength, osteoporosis and anaemia.

Low Testosterone
Both sexes produce testosterone. Men produce far greater quantities of testosterone than women. The amount secreted by women is small and it does not have a strong masculising effect.
Testosterone is crucial for the development and maintenance of the male sex organs and the male secondary sex characteristics. These include muscle bulk, facial and axillary hair, changes in fat distribution and deepened voice.
